In the final part of the storyline, Genis is put into conflict with Hulk's future self, The Maestro from 'Hulk: Future Imperfect' while the villainous Thanatos holds a meeting with Rick Jones of Genis' present and the geriatric Rick Jones from Future Imperfect; during which he reveals that he is an alternate reality or time travelling Rick Jones and he wants to eliminate the others so that he might become the ultimate Rick Jones.
