Captain Atom fights a man in a robotic suit. During the fight he inadvertently reduces the metal in the suit to dust. He nearly does the same this to his own hand. He goes to the Continuum to talk with Dr. Heinrich Megala. Megala tells him he is fortunate it did not happen in his brain because if it had it could not be stopped. Just after this is revealed a simultaneous disaster happens in New York City. Atom races to the scene and stops the disasters. It ends on a cliffhanger.
