CAPTAIN AMERICA: THE MAN WITH NO FACE

In Captain America: The Man With No Face (Captain America [2004-2011] #43-48), James "Bucky" Barnes has succeeded the (then-) deceased Steve Rogers as Captain America--yet he's painfully aware that he hasn't been the man his former mentor and partner was. No, James is haunted by the murderous missions he was compelled to carry out as the Winter Soldier, an assassin for the Soviet Union. One such mission (a rare failure for the Winter Soldier) underlies this story, which includes Batroc, Black Widow, the Invaders, and of course, The Man With No Face.
