A four issue mini-series published by IDW, Black Dynamite is written by Brian Ash with pencils by Ron Wimberly and inks by legendary Marvel artist Sal Buscema. The comic is based on the film of the same name written by Michael Jai White, Byron Minns, and Scott Sanders. The series is homage to the blaxploitation films of the 1970s, starring the titular character as a "former CIA afent, international ladies man, and ass-kicking soul brother number one." The series is the sequel to Black Dynamite: Slave Island.
