While on a fishing trip with her parents in the wilds upstate, Betty stumbles across the trail of two escaped bank robbers and one very angry bear. While photographing scenery in Mystic Valley, and cooling off from being stood up by Archie, Betty encounters a Norse godling named Allwet the Rainmaker, who has similar woes. With a dental appointment looming over her, Betty has a nightmare involving a dental chair and her two chief tormentors at school.
