Alita has defeated Zapan and saved the scrapyard and her destroyed, limbless body is arbitrarily convicted of a "Class-A" offence for the use of a firearm. She is forced to agree to have her death-sentence commuted in exchange for her service as a member of the "Tuned", a policing force of Tiphares used to control the Scrapyard. Her first mission: to protect a train against a group of bandits called, Barjack.
