Aquaman is reunited with his wife Mera, only to find she's dying. The only way to save her is take her out of Atlantis, and the only thing standing in Aquaman's way is…Tempest?
An angry Aquaman learns whats causing Mera's health problems, Hagen has cast a spell which is slowly turning her gills into lungs. Aquaman then attempts to forcibly take Mera to the surface for aid, resulting in Tempest attacking him,with Aquaman threatening a fight to the death if he doesn't let him take her.While back in Sub-Diego the creature escapes it's cage,with Alonzo and Koryak battling it and Koryak throwing it from the ocean onto the land to suffocate. Aquaman then arrive's at Geist's lab, with Mera in hand.
