Aquaman faces the unexpected return of his greatest foe, Black Manta! The King of the Seas is faced with the ultimate choice: to save the villain who killed his only son, or let him die?
Black Manta's childhood is revealed. He was once an autistic child, which doctors could not diagnose as autistic, whose only pleasure was felt when he was in cold water. Meanwhile, Arthur battles it out with Thirst, who drinks another finger from Arthur's hand. Thirst travels to Valhalla, where he drinks the Regal Spirit of Rhinne. Black Manta, who obviously is suffering again from autism, battles against Arthur and Tempest. Arthur gets Manta out of his ship and uses his hand to heal his autism.
