The King of the Seas quenches The Thirst! Aquaman learns the hard way that a brief moment of rage can have deadly consequences…by using his magical, watery hand as a weapon, he has inadvertently released The Thirst-a twisted parasite who feeds on the same Secret Sea that Aquaman has sworn to channel into this world!
Arthur and Tempest discover more about Arthur's new water hand as they travel inside of it only to find out that the Lady of the Lake is dying because an evil force known as "The Thirst" has returned, due to Arthur using his new hand in anger. The Thirst drinks the life force from a group of archaeologists who discover his dried up corpse on a boat. Once the archaeologists toast their drinks, the Thirst comes to life and turns them all into statues. He then takes his boat into the sky and plans on searching for the Secret Sea, to drink from the source.
