Lady Death originated as a hallucination by a troubled boy named Ernest "Ernie" Fairchild. Ernie believed Lady Death was his dream girl: a violent, sexy supervillain. Following Chaos! Comics' bankruptcy, the rights to solely Lady Death were sold to Avatar Press. As a result, Lady Death has been given a new origin story, with notable differences to the story told at Chaos! Comics.
