This is a dark comic about the Air War from the Burma Retreat phase. The characters include an RAF officer with a back story in which he let a friend die commanding a threatened RAF station on the verge of collapse during the retreat trying his best to shore up the fighting when a trio of 'Mercenary' American pilots of the Flying Tigers end up the airfield uninvited. The Flying Tigers are portrayed as ruthless mercenaries - with no chain of command and fighting only for money. So ruthless that the senior among the Flying Tigers had no qualm in squeezing his injured colleague of all his money in return for saving his life. The comic ends with the sole surviving american mercenary making peace with the RAF officer before facing a Japanese infantry attack for one final time..
The graphic story is bound to raise the shackles of the American WW2 history enthusiasts, especially those who follow the Flying Tigers saga.
