A group of radicals believe there is an ancient Aztek city in the mountains of Alaska. When two of their number go missing while looking for the city, the group do something… radical, which attracts the attention of the FBI. Fallout from this leads to Mulder and Scully undertaking a search for the missing duo. They manage to find one of them, though he is not quite himself anymore. He then leads them to something even stranger.
