Marvel Comics takes on this classic American tale adapted from L. Frank Baum. Writer Eric Shanower and artist Skottie Young have teamed up to produce a spectacularly appealing series great for all ages. In issue 1 of 8, Dorothy and Toto experience the tornado sweeping their house to the land of Oz. The house crushes one of the wicked witches. The good witch of the North tells Dorothy that she is also a witch, much to Dorothy's chagrin; like many children she believed all witches were evil and she didn't want to be one. By the end of issue 1, Dorothy finally meets her first companion, the Scarecrow. Together they continue on the yellow brick road to get to the center of the land to meet the powerful wizard called Oz.
