A spaceship crash-lands in Metropolis carrying a Kryptonian child. Clark Kent and Lois Lane name him Christopher Kent and take responsibility for him. Upon Christopher arriving on earth the gateway out of the Phantom Zone was opened and General Zod and his followers have escaped. It is revealed that Christopher is the son of General Zod and Superman does everything possible to protect him from his father as General Zod goes on a rampage in Metropolis.
