Inspired by Batman: The Animated Series. (Superman: The Animated Series would debut in 1996) The premiere issue features Lois Lane recounting the Secret Origin of Superman; and Bruce Wayne recalling his origin as The Batman. The Hero File profiles Wonder Woman. The Daily Planet features stories on a super-hero science exhibit at the Oregon Museum of Science and Industry; Skybox's DC Comics' Flying Discs; and VR goggles. The Penguin has a pun page. There is a story on collecting trading cards. Dennis O'Neil and Marifran O'Neil have a story spotlighting martial arts with Robin and The Huntress. A story spotlights The Death of Superman. The issue rounds out with an interview with Superman editor (and "Mastermind") Mike Carlin. The cover is a gatefold featuring Superman, Batman and other DC heroes. A center splash features the villains. There is a separate, fold out poster featuring the heroes facing off against their greatest foes. Also included is a fold out poster for Arnold Schwarzenegger's The Last Action Hero film.
