The first Star Wars Annual, 1979, was published in the UK by Brown Watson, who subsequently lost the license to Grandreams from the next year. All the UK Star Wars Annuals published by Brown Watson and by Grandreams reprinted stories from Marvel's Star Wars comics, both adaptations of the Star Wars movies and Marvel's original tales.
