The Bridge to Death, Ch. 1 cliffhanger ending - Shots are being fired at Nyoka and Larry Gordon as they crawl on a bridge that goes over a moat, but the moat is filled with crocodiles.
Ch. 2 cliffhanger ending - A blow to her head from a rifle knocks Nyoka out and the fiend says, "Now to finish her off!"
The Jungle Racketeers, Ch. 1 cliffhanger ending - Nyoka is knocked unconscious and a rifle is aimed at the back of her head as she lays silently on the ground.
Ch. 2 cliffhanger ending - Morsley's native friend knocks Nyoka out cold by smashing her with the butt end of his rifle. Although Nyoka falls into a pile of sand, this only makes things easier for Morsley and his partner. Morsely announces gleefully to his native friend. "We've got to cover her completely so no air can get in! When the sand hardens, she won't be able to get out and she'll smother to death! Ha! Ha!" The native announces that his formula makes the sand hard like rock. The chapter ends with one of Nyoka's most dramatic cliffhangers ever, as the writer's commentary says, "Buried in a stone grave, it doesn't look as if Nyoka will ever have the chance to stop any crime again!"
