The Lost Civilization, Ch.1 cliffhanger ending - Nyoka find herself in the unbreakable grip of a caveman and he is pulling her away. She thinks that Larry Grayson will soon come to save her, but he lying is unconscious at the base of Jungle Mountain.
Ch. 2 cliffhanger ending - Nyoka is being chased by cavemen. She thinks she sees a way to escape, so she starts down the mountain by clinging to a vine. However, the cavemen do not need to chase her. They tip over a huge bin of hot liquid, in an effort to scald the girl to death! Nyoka says aloud, "There's nowhere to move! There's nothing I can do!" The writer sums it up with this chilling commentary: "Nyoka may have discovered a lost civilization, but in doing so, it looks as if she has lost her life!"
