Oakroot, son of Freefot, the seventh of the Wolfrider chieftains foresees a time of declining The High-Ones heritage in his efl-tribe. He remembers Eldolil, the last of the pure blooded elves, seeking him out. Eldolil is by then a shrivelled hermit who lives in the mountains, who is nearly subdued completely by old-age. Eldolil passes on the key for Oakroot's remembrance as Chief, and this is to be more elf than woolf.
