This issue tells the story of Mantricker's death.
Bearclaw tells the story of how Mantricker kidnaps a small human child named "SOHAN" in order to use him as a safety-net (hostage) while he delivers a frank message to the humans to stay out of his part of the forest. The humans misunderstand, willing to sacrifice with the boy attack Mantricker.
Although the boy does not die, Mantricker tries to escape and receives a spear lodged in his spine.
