Blood of Ten Chiefs 3 and 4 are devoted to the telling of Graywolf and Swiftspear's private hunting. It tells the tale of how Swiftspear became Two-Spear.
Chronologically, the then Wolfriders were polarized into a few tribemates who were nearly divine The High-Ones , and a few like Graywolf who had animal-wolf tendencies. Swiftspear's wolf is murdered by human villagers, who cut of its ears but do not take the meat. Swiftspear is outraged and seeks vengence, bringing Graywolf who must rescue him when a failed confrontation ensues.
This is an incident that would lead to the developing of a near-permanent feud between elves and human on the world of two moons.
