After being attacked and turned by the werewolf Carnifex, Desiree is found unconscious in the woods by a hunter and taken to a hospital for treatment. Meanwhile, Carnifex looks in town for human food, inadvertently attacking a vampire. He loses the ensuing fight, and as the vampire begins to feed Desiree undergoes her first transformation.
