In the Bayou of Louisiana a pack of werewolves stalks their prey. Carnifex, a member of the hunting party, decides he doesn't like the social structure and challenges the Alpha male, resulting in being cast out of the pack.
On his own, he happens upon Desiree, paying respects at her mother's grave. He learns about the Loup-Garou festival taking place that evening. In werewolf form Carnifex crashes the festival, killing attendees and condemning Desiree to the world of the "Dream Wolves."
