Deciding to get into the growing superhero theme Four Star bought The Black Cobra from Harry A. Chesler who had used the character only once in Dynamic Comics # 1, giving the character to L. B. Cole he lasted until Four Star left comics as well, but before doing so they sold the rights to the Black Cobra to Ajax who both redid the character and reprinted old stories about him from Captain Flight Comics.
Later the character was stolen without the rights to use him by AC.
