The street urchin Vanquisher has been taken in by Cain the Dark, medieval Italy's most infamous warrior. Cain made it clear early on that his interest in Vanquisher was far from innocent. What's not so clear is what Cain truly is. Vanquisher swears he saw black wings on Cain's back. There has to be a reason why the upper echelons of the church are obsessed with Cain's destruction.
